Auto camp Zlatorog is located in the central part of Triglav National Park, in Ukanc, on the shore of lake Bohinj. It is a very neat camp that offers the vacationers just about everything they need for a pleasant cohabitation with nature.
It is also an excellent starting point for mountain-climbing, rowing, fishing, kayaking, swimming and other activities.
The park is named after Triglav, symbol of Slovenia. The size of Triglav National Park is 83807 ha, the highest peak is Triglav itself with its 2864 m height. If you want to start your hike in Zlatorog camp, you will need at least 8 hours to reach the top of Triglav. There are also other hiking trails available around Bohinj.
All Slovenian glacial lakes are placed in Triglav National Park. (Bohinj lake as the biggest of Triglav glacial lakes, Lakes Križ and Krn high up in the mountains) Enjoy the breathtaking waterfalls Savica in Bohinj, Perečnika in Vrata, Šum in Vintgar, two waterfalls in Martuljek, Skočniki in Beli potok and Nadiža in Tamar.
